Have you ever felt disconnected from yourself, even while trying to stay strong? Sometimes life asks us to carry more than we expected: migration, grief, identity changes, family pressures, loss, or the quiet weight of anxiety. From the outside, everything may look fine, yet inside there may be confusion, exhaustion, or a sense of fragmentation.
I see therapy as a space where healing begins through safety, trust, and honest conversation. When we feel genuinely heard and not judged, we can begin to understand our emotions, patterns, and deeper needs. My role is not to tell you who to be, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, values, and sense of meaning. As a Turkish-Canadian Muslim immigrant woman, theologian, educator, and emerging psychotherapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical training into my work. I understand identity transitions, cultural tension, and the complexity of belonging. At the same time, I approach therapy with professional boundaries, evidence-based practice, and deep respect for each client’s autonomy.
My approach is integrative and client-centered. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy when relevant and desired. In sessions, I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels safe for you. Together, we explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences while identifying practical strategies that support change and emotional resilience. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to move forward in ways that align with your values. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, identity transitions, spiritual questions, and adjustment challenges. Together, we explore what gives you strength, what brings hope, and what may be keeping you stuck.
Healing, for me, is not about becoming someone new. It is about restoring coherence and reconnecting with the dignity, resilience, and meaning that are already within you. If you are looking for a warm, culturally sensitive, spiritually respectful, and clinically grounded space, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
